In 1998, Linley debuted as an actor in the television movie Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack. Later, he appeared in four movies that were released in 2000, namely Walker, Texas Ranger, Where the Heart Is, My Dog Skip, and Miss Congeniality, in small roles. Linley appears in the independent film When Zachary Beaver Came to Town in 2003, as well as Cheaper by the Dozen. He also played a live-action Arnold in a commercial for Hey Arnold!: The Movie. Other film roles include Hannah Montana, The Haunting Hour: Don’t Think About It, Rebound, and his most recent picture, Hoot (2006), which stars Logan Lerman and Brie Larson.
